Guild Mortgage Named 2017 Top Workplace by the San Diego Union-Tribune
Independent mortgage lender recognized for its outstanding work environment,
company culture and future potential for fifth straight year
SAN DIEGO – Guild Mortgage, one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the U.S., has been named a winner of the 2017 Top Workplace award by The San Diego Union-Tribune, earning the distinction for the fifth consecutive year.
The Top Workplaces Program honors companies that have outstanding workplace culture and business environments highly valued by their employees. The lists are based solely on the results of an anonymous employee feedback survey administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement.
The online survey ranks employee levels of satisfaction with their jobs, confidence in the future prospects of the company, feelings of appreciation, manager effectiveness and trust in the company. The Top Workplace survey went to employers and staff of public, private, non-profit and governmental organizations with 50 or more employees and rankings require a minimum 35 percent response rate to qualify.
Companies with the most points receive the top rankings in one of three categories based on the size of the organization: 500 or more employees, 100 to 499 employees and 50 to 99 employees. This year, 77 organizations agreed to participate in the survey process and 51 San Diego area employers scored high enough to earn Top Workplaces honors.
Guild Mortgage, which employs more than 600 people in San Diego County, was ranked No. 5 in the large company category.
